In 2006, WAI YAT-SHING and HONG SHING-CHIT were the leaders of a management consulting company and they helped other companies to solve problems. After a meeting, the boss KWAN CI-KIT praised YAT-SHING for providing valuable advice to his client and he was definitely a leading management consultant in town. YAT-SHING returned home to enjoy his time with family members. His sister-in-law SHUI-NGOR discovered that he had spent a million dollars on the renovation works of his new home and she wondered why he didn't help YAT-LUNG. YAT-SHING replied that he would actually harm YAT-LUNG if he had lent money to him. YAT-SHING's wife YUEN KIU tried hard to make their mild autistic son CHI-CHUNG happy but only YAT-SHING was able to communicate with him by matches. YAT-SHING, SHING-CHIT and YIP CHING went to Vietnam together to handle the dispute of a factory that tried to cut budget by firing workers……

SHING-CHIT and the others reported the case to the police but the police had no clue at all. On the other hand, YAT-SHING was brought to an unknown cave. The kidnappers said that they would release him after getting the ransom money. The Vietnam police discovered the dead bodies of the four kidnappers. SHING-CHIT drew a picture of the tattoo of the fifth kidnapper. HO-YAN remembered that HUNG KWAN had the same tattoo on his arm. He brought YUEN KIU and the others to HUNG KWAN. SHING-CHIT tried to get information by paying them but he was bitten up by them. HUNG KWAN asked YUEN KIU to fight with the female boxer. YAT-SHING didn't give up and he tried to escape but the one who was monitoring him was a mad man. The police said that a man's dead body was discovered in the sea. They believed that the kidnapper had died and YAT-SHING should have died as well. However, YUEN KIU believed that YAT-SHING was still alive……

YUEN KIU and YAT-SHING are overjoyed to meet each other again and they cry. During the days when YAT-SHING was missing, YUEN KIU has become a practicing lawyer. YAT-SHING is surprised to discover that they have moved to a small house. All family members are very happy to see YAT-SHING again but CHI-CHUNG regards him as a stranger. YAT-LUNG reveals that YUEN KIU had borrowed money from the finance company during his absence but she was not able to repay the debts. When YAT-SHING was found missing for 7 years, YUEN KIU had declared to the court that YAT-SHING had died so that she could get compensation from the insurance company. YUEN KIU wants to resume YAT-SHING's identity. After studying the case, her master HOK-YU comments that it is a very difficult case. YAT-SHING returns to his company. When he meets CI-KIT and CHAK-SAI, all of them are very excited. CHAK-SAI brings YAT-SHING to SHING-CHIT……

HO-YAN brings CHI-CHUNG to the psychologist for counseling service. When the psychologist questions CHI-CHUNG, CHI-CHUNG remains silent when he sees YAT-SHING. YAT-SHING tries to find mistakes in the report so that he could resume his identity and he decides to return to Vietnam. Everybody objects the idea but SHUI-NGOR supports him. She even gives YAT-SHING money for the trip. YUEN KIU fails to convince YAT-SHING and she decides to go with him. HO-YAN joins them and they arrive at the fishing village to look for witnesses. When HO-YAN tries to look for the fishing boat taken by the witness, he meets his cousin TSUI-YEE. TSUI-YEE comes for archaeological works with her professor. YAT-SHING and the others question the fisherman who helped with the search but TSUI-YEE discovers that the fisherman is problematic. HO-YAN and YAT-SHING return to the fishing boat but the policemen KA-MING and YU-CHUNG kick them away.

YAT-SHING and the others escape. After returning to the hotel, they discover from the news that someone was behind the scene. YAT-SHING is ashamed and he decides to stop searching. He returns home and WAI-HING is relieved. However, SHUI-NGOR is disappointed with the outcome and she is very angry. YAT-SHING meets up with MAN-HON and he thanks him for his help in Vietnam. MAN-HON reveals that he has helped him because of SHING-CHIT. MAN-HON wants YAT-SHING to be the Chief Financial Officer. He wants both SHING-CHIT and YAT-SHING to work for his company. YAT-SHING discovers that TSUI-YEE is drunk and she is harassed by her friend. CHAK-SAI tries to help her but he becomes the victim. YAT-SHING discovers CHI-CHUNG's painting on the wall and he believes that CHI-CHUNG has drawn him but CHI-CHUNG says that he has drawn HO-YAN. CHAK-SAI and SHING-CHIT learn about it and they suspect that HO-YAN and YUEN KIU are having an affair.
