Run of the House
Since mom and dad have made a temporary move from the frigid winters of Grand Rapids to sunny Arizona to protect dad's health, you'd think it'd be pretty sweet at home for 15-year-old Brooke Franklin. Well, think again. Brooke's brothers, Kurt and Chris and her sister Sally are in charge. Though there is the usual bickering about household responsibilities and personal lifestyles, Brooke's siblings share more than a common gene pool; they also share a real concern about Brooke's well-being and the intention to raise their youngest sister correctly. Unfortunately, they just can't agree how to do it.

Episode 1Pilot22 min
Sally, Kurt, and Chris are three perfect examples of ""The Boomerang Generation,"" which, as the name implies, refers to kids who grow up, leave home for college, and then come right back to the nest. For their younger sister, 15-year-old Brooke Franklin, the sociological phenomenon is a lifesaver since her parents are always away on vacation. Left to fend for themselves by their globetrotting parents, the four create an unusual surrogate family marked by the usual sibling rivalries and power plays. Somehow they manage to overcome the pettiness, however, in a uniquely genuine attempt to create a nuclear family in the absence of one.
Episode 2Kiss and Tell22 min
When Chris sees Brooke's boyfriend, Scott, kissing another girl, he tells Kurt and Sally and they try to get Scott to confess.
Episode 3The Party22 min
Things quickly get out of control when Chris helps Brooke throw a party and invites the band ""Dropline"" to the house. Meanwhile, Sally tries to keep the bash a secret from Kurt by taking him with her on a double date.
Episode 4'Twas the Night Before Homecoming22 min
The annual tradition of pranks between rival high schools continues on the eve of Homecoming as Brooke, Chris and Kurt get involved in an egg fight with Brooke's rival high school. Meanwhile, Sally spends her Friday night baking cupcakes for the Homecoming committee but receives help from a fellow volunteer (""American Idols'"" Justin Guarini).
Episode 5When There's Smoke, There's Fire22 min
When Kurt (Joseph Lawrence), Sally (Sasha Barrese) and Chris (Kyle Howard) suspect that Brooke (Margo Harshman) has been smoking cigarettes, the town gossip calls the kids' parents in Arizona, and they threaten to return home.
