Season 1

A series about the legal profession in Singapore, The Pupil will give us a sneak peek into the world of lawyers and the cases they take on, cases with outcome that not only change the lives of the ordinary Singaporeans they defend, but also their own. The story revolves around Wendy Lim (Rebecca Lim), a young and idealistic Malaysian who arrives in Singapore to begin her apprenticeship at a local law firm under the tutelage of Dennis Tang (Adrian Pang). She is, however, unprepared for the journey ahead of her; not only does she has to contend with the politics within the firm but in the course of performing her duties, uncovers a dangerous plot that may eventually threaten her own life…

    Angela is hired by a former client, Michael Allan, who is arrested at Changi Airport. He is charged with evading National Service when he returns home from a trip to America. Meanwhile, Wendy Lim arrives in Singapore to begin her pupilage at her uncle’s firm, Roberts and Fong, and is immediately sabotaged by her colleagues, while incurring the wrath of her pupil master, Dennis Tang.
