Die Byl
The unit specializes in the investigation of serial murders and is led by Van der Bijl, a former murder and robbery detective who gained fame for his handling of several high-profile cases. Each episode focuses on a serial killer. The main character, Colonel Piet van der Bijl, also known as Die Byl, is loosely modeled on the famous ex-detective Piet Byleveld.

Byl is confronted by a killer who knows more about him than Dr. Fritz Barnard. Smiley has a vendetta against Byl and won't stop his killing spree until Byl arrests him.

Four police officers die in freak accidents under strange circumstances. All of them were at the police college with Sergeant Juan Stuurman. Is Juan's life in danger, or is he the killer?
Episode 5In Die Bloed min
The team must work with a unit that specializes in gang activity. Byl refuses to share his team with Captain Willem Ruiters and ends up in a firefight with his commander.
